ℚ Invaders From The Outer Rim - Eric Coyote and Walt Morton

Today we have the pleasure of meeting up with authors to talk about Invaders From The Outer Rim  (, Eric Coyote & Walt Morton, 52 pages) an Erotic Science Fiction novellette.

Author Q&A | Synopsis | Teaser | About the Author | Giveaway & Tour Stops

What was the inspiration for Invaders From The Outer Rim ?
"We were trying to answer the questions, "Would you have sex with an alien?" "Would alien sex be super hot -- or totally gross?" "Why would anybody in their right mind even think about sex with aliens?"
How much of yourself is reflected in this book, and how?
"Invaders from the Outer Rim is completely a work of fiction.  Since neither Walt nor Eric are extraterrestrials we can’t really speak for aliens.  That said, we understand human nature very well and sexuality is a part of that."
The first thing that draws me to a book is its cover.  Can you tell us about your cover for Invaders From The Outer Rim - why you chose that concept and who the artist is.
"We wanted something that was different and eye-catching, and that was not a picture of somebody's six-pack abs.  Since Walt is also an accomplished artist in addition to being one of the keystone writers of his generation, he painted the cover to suggest classic sci-fi themes with a subconscious sexuality. "
Why should we read Invaders From The Outer Rim and what sets it apart from the rest? What makes your book unique?
"It's about having mind-blowing sex with super-hot aliens lovers in ways you never imagined possible."
Can you tell us something quirky about Invaders From The Outer Rim , its story and characters?
"Our aliens are like no other aliens you've ever seen before, and their reason for invading Earth is completely unique."
Who would you recommend Invaders From The Outer Rim to and what should readers be aware of (any warnings or disclaimers)?
"Anyone interested in science fiction, erotica, or fun story telling should read Invaders from the Outer Rim.  However, it's not for prudes (though we guarantee, they'll enjoy it, too)."
If you could / wished to turn Invaders From The Outer Rim into a movie, who would be your dream team?
"Mike Judge for director, and the film must be animated.  The voices of Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Julia Roberts, and Tina Fey. (We are currently in discussions with veteran production team members of The Simpsons to make this happen.)"
What do you like to write and read about? Do you stick to a particular genre or do you like to explore different ones?
"We are both interested in writing about things that we haven’t seen before or that we think are pure fun.  Because of this, both Eric and Walt are voracious readers and consumers of movies, whatever the genre. "
What is your writing process?
"Write several thousand words a day, over and over and then re-write it and then proofread it and then get several professional proofreaders to read it.  Don’t be lazy or unprofessional. Dickens wasn’t."
What is in store next?
"Right now, Eric is finishing the most shocking novel ever written about Hollywood and is also working on book two of his critically acclaimed homeless detective trilogy.  Walt is writing an epic military science fiction novel and also planning the next book in his supernatural horror series."
And as a final quirky thing, to get to know you a little bit better... do you have a pet or something that is special to you that you could share with us?
"Walt is an accomplished martial artist who once took down a man with a potato chip while Eric has been practicing yoga for two years and can now touch his toes."
From the lack of photographic evidence, I am going to safely assume those are both fibs ;-)  Or maybe we could see those enacted somewhere in the credits of that animation you mentioned earlier ...
